Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS)

A 75-year old male had surgery to remove his mouth cancer.  Following the surgery, he had difficulty swallowing, speaking, coughing, and keeping his neck up straight.  He was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and became very depressed.  He had been working up through last summer and had been unable to work since the diagnosis.  He didn’t believe acupuncture could help his conditions.  Without any improvement from conventional Western medical treatments, he came to HolliBalance despaired.  Right after the first acupuncture treatment by Dr. Song with Dr. Hu’s special techniques for Lou Gehrig’s Disease, he was greatly encouraged as he experience great improvement right during the very first acupuncture treatment.  He was eager to return and told Dr. Song that she had given him hope.  After a few acupuncture sessions, he was able to lift his neck more easily, and he could swallow and cough.
